RB Imani Cross Commits to Vols

This is JMO I follow the region close and cover it on my website but I believe Chaz Thornton of Stephens County High School same high school as Tauren Poole. Sophomore Stats 1,700 yards 25 TDs, 4.37 40 yard dash was his time at the Auburn camp on laser as a freshman. He sat out about 8 quarters of football to this year to let the back ups play because the lead was large my best comparision is Jacquizz Rodgers of Oregon St

Has he started receiving attention from any schools?

We need to start going after 2013 Evan Berry (Eric's brother)

Wow this is breaking news!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you have any information on this kid? Who is he again?

For the 1,000,000,000,000,000,000th time; I'm sure it has been looked into a few times.

They already committed. No way they'll change their minds since committing at the age of 13.

Evan is the only one that has committed. Elliott says he like LSU, not that anything a 13-14 year old does matters.

Getting back to the 40 times, I was watching the NFL combine for rb's and the commentators were stating that with bigger backs the burst of speed for the first 10 yrds are very important vs the overall time in the forty.

Great pick up. He does not need to improve his speed one bit to be able to compete at this level.

+1 i've been watching the combine and a good bit of the rb's were running 4.5-4.6 range...and most of them aren't 6'1" either!!! GBO!!!

^^^ i see i'm not the only 1 watching the combine lol... is D MO there? i've been trying to catch him on there but haven't seen him yet.

at his size, I'm fine with a 4.53. that's not bad at all.

but we do need a speed back in this class.

ya sorry.. haha with all the lack of speed in every position lately i've become a little bit of a 40 time nazi. i dont want this kid to change a thing, we really need a bruiser back like this kid.

Exactly why I think we should only be looking at top 10 RB talent. We have a stable of good backs. I like what we already have and the only additions should be top 10 talent. If the top 10 aren't looking our way then there is always next year and we should have been recruiting them harder. Any coaching staff at Tennessee should be able to attract top 10 talent at that position. IMO I remember the good old days. Are they gone?

A stable of good backs huh? Let's see who has put up decent numbers? Poole (and I don't really care for him but that's another topic). We have Neal, Tom Smith, and Lane right. Two of those three haven't put on the pads for us yet. Neal was wildly inconsistent as a freshman(typical). I wouldn't call that a good stable. But you have your own opinion sir.
