I think Sly Croom would be a good choice! He knows the SEC, coached RB's in the NFL, would be a great recruiting tool, AND..........he doesn't have a job. So I'm pretty sure he would take it. Don't laugh, I really think he'd be a good one to get!

He is still the RB coach for the Rams... As far as I know anyway.

Guys some of these names like Croom, Garner, Blake...... they just want go away.

I mean look at what the guy is doing. He is going to hire guys that have ties to someone here. He could care less how big a name you have.

How about we hire ESPN analyst Craig James. Nah, on second thought, he would probably get a headache one day and CDD would ask him to take a break and then it would be all over ESPN the next day that CDD mistreated him

I just saw that Dooley was interested in Tim Salem from UCF for a position on the Offensive Staff.. He is the Tight Ends/ST coach there now, not sure if he would be looking at him for the same here.

He was their RB coach when Kevin Smith was there and he was an All-American that rushed for over 2500 yards and 29 TDs.

I think this would be a great hire.

Yea, I agree. He looks like a solid coach. This is what I posted in the OP but some of these guys on this board you wonder if they even watch the games? .....

I will never trust anything anyone says about who one of our coaches is going to be until I hear MH himself say it.

I'm just glad there's a rumor. I was going through withdrawal there for a couple of days. Everything is too quiet.
