Ray Rice knocks fiancée out cold

Ray Rice's actions are deplorable but I don't think the NFL should sanction player for domestic violence. I can see sanctioning players for substance abuse but not domestic violence. It smells of political correctness to me.

Is this a joke?

Good lord. This is the worst post in the history of this board. You should be banned for having the worst opinion of all time.

Several around NFL say Rice is likely to be cut today. Too little, too late though. Can't imagine anyone picks him up.

This guy needs to go. The most unsettling thing, besides you know cold cocking a woman, was how casual he was about it. No way that's the first time he has done that or the last.

Donte Stallworth killed a man and got a second chance. Leonard Little killed a woman and got a second chance. Rice will get a second chance somewhere.

I don't understand why so many people are demanding to see so much more trouble for Rice now that they've seen the video. Did they just not believe it when they read that he knocked her out in the elevator? How does seeing the video make it worse?
You can't punish him more now. The NFL blew the penalty originally, sure. But I don't see why in the world this would change anything. We already knew he did this.

It was implied that she played a much larger role in this incident. We were led to believe she was instigating and and fueling the fire so to speak. Now it's made much more clear. He flat out decked her.

He wasn't defending himself or "standing his ground". She was mouthy and he put her to sleep. It's a big deal.

I thought he was a POS before this came out, and thought he deserved more. In no way does what I am about to say justify hitting a woman, most people probably know my stance on that.

That being said, I think maybe some people questioned her role in this whole thing. Did she provoke him, did she hit him first, etc. Seeing the video shows that he was definitely the aggressor. Factor in the way her head hit the wall, and it's even worse.

Because now there is absolutely no excuse at all. Sure anyone with sense knew what happened but now the toothpaste is out of the tube.

Donte killed a guy walking on the highway and little killed a lady who blew through a stop sign. Ray intentionally hit a woman. The end result was obviously worse for the victims you mentioned, but the intent is way different

He is scum but she chose to marry him after the fact. Firing/ banning him will hurt her.
She did not press charges. If someone wants to get beat up it is a personal liberty.

Did anyone ask her if she wanted him fired?

This is wrong in so many ways.

There has to be fallout for Goodell for this, too. TMZ reports that the NFL had this video all along. If that's true and Goodell only issued a 2 game suspension after seeing this, his contract needs to also be terminated.
