Prepare yourself for CBJ opening up every press conference during 2017 with "resilient young team that is still learning how to win"...

Team ain't young no mo. He got all his people all his playas. Betta show it on da field.

Ha come on Jones.

It'd be nice to see Butch turn it around this year but I'm out of faith in his ability to do anything more than what he's already done. Two depth classes in a row and blowing the best chance we've had to take the East in almost a decade with losses to SC and VU. What more proof do we need? I really want to know from sincere believers in Butch exactly how many more seasons and recruiting classes do you believe this guy needs to at least win the division?

It seems people are always ready to get rid of a coach because you expected more then what you got for the last season. Yes we could have done better but not for,the reasons you think. There are few if any teams that could do as well as we did with the number of injuries we had this last season. Should we still have won the South Carolina game, probably but with Dobbs staying up to 3 and 4 o'clock in the morning so he could get his school work done that week it made a big difference. He is a student athlete though so school is more important than football. I know a lot don't believe that but it is the main reason they are in school, I repeat, school. Don't expect much better this year because of the key players we lost. This is college football and the players are not paid to play and we can't just go offer bigger money to get them to play here. Quit making the outcome of the football games a life and death situation and you can enjoy the games so much more. No, I don't like to,see the Vols lose but, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. Go Vols.

Found a new profile pic for you. That way you won't even have to type another nonsensical response, and everyone will still understand what you are trying to say.

It's already in use. :hi:

53, I don't lose sleep over it either but I figure that if the job aint getting done four years in then it's time for a change. If Butch had missed the East by one close loss, or maybe if he'd compensated for VU and SC with an outstanding recruiting class, or made some really impressive headline-grabbing assistant hires then I'd have a reason to believe that he isn't maxed out.

Doesn't this thread go in the "Protesting Snowflakes" forum? Glad u guys made it home safely from last weeks DC protest.

Wow!
First time I have seen a post like this that isn't misspelled, written in all caps, and broken up by multiple and randomly placed exclamation points.
Congratulations.

Yes since the recruit and analysts all said we did. Of course since it didn't happen all the I told you so's start to fly from the LOTM

So it's the Negas fault Butch can't pull the guys anymore?

Or just the fanbase in general?

As much as I'd like to disagree, I'm afraid Butch Jones may have peaked and reached his Zenith at UT:eek:k:

Well guys he picked who we all thought he would pick...the evil empire. Did anybody out there really think we had a chance with this guy? Butch Jones just doesn't land these types of recruits...so frustrating. Maybe if he was a WINNER we would have wooed him...oh well the rich get richer totally sickening!

Its also heartbreaking to see our top TN talent heading to Death Valley. Dabo is raping Butch. Its not good. Its actually embarrassing. So here is my advice to Butch...quit losing games you should win and get over the damn hump and maybe things will change!

Still a solid class...but it is hard to watch players like Higgins decommit and go to Clemson...ugh.

Oh by the way CBJ despite the hysterical rants like this from OP somehow pulled in the #1 recruit in the nation who is an early enrollee. OP how do you square that little tidbit with the above? I totally understand as I'm not a happy camper or major CBJ fan at this point, but do you need a Xanax smoothie perhaps? Sheesh, can it get more immature?

Clemson recruits against our coaching staff. They perceive a weakness there and they exploit it. It has been very effective for them, so they probably will continue to do it until their message no longer works.

Unfortunately if you don't have an O-Line coach that can take these highly touted recruits, and coach them into a functioning OLine, then it doesn't matter what their star rating is when they leave high school.

If he spends 3-4 years under Mahoney, the same people here screaming "we got thah numba one guy we got the numba one", will be the same people saying that he was a bust and that it isn't Jones' fault that he didn't pan out.

Looking ahead, the instate Tennessee class for 2018 is stacked. We have two verbals from a 4 star and a 5 star.

I'm not much concerned with non-conference national rankings. What does concern me are the six SEC schools ahead of us, with South Carolina two spots back at 17.

Bama 1
Georgia 3
Florida 11
Tennessee 15
South Carolina 17

This is our path to the East every season. If we consider our traditional expectations, we must recruit at least top 10 every season to remain competitive.

Dude your hysterical RANT concerned recruiting, NOT development. Again, how do you square your initial childish rant about recruiting with the FACT CBJ warts and all pulled in the number one recruit in the nation?

Who is this number 1 recruit in the nation you're puffing your tail feathers about?

Clemson offers a rock solid staff, NFL draft picks, and now a national title. UT offers early PT. I can see the attraction.

Putting an offense that can actually score 20+ points on Alabama probably piques the interest of recruits as well.
