Good for Ndiaye. I'm not going to judge the kid before he ever steps on the court. Hope he plays his ass off for us.

Not overly excited about this. I do have some hopes that he was a big man trapped in an uptempo system and then caught the injury bug. Otherwise this cat is just a guy for back court players to practice teardrop shots over at Pratt. Also makes me nervous as he11 about Stokes.

There it is was hoping it was a nightmare we could all wake up from but turns out Martin really is lost

I love how people say, "So and So is lost."

Based on your opinion, which is awesome, you know, cause, your opinion is right. You should run the AD since you know how things work and what the coaches need to do.

I'd be more nervous for Hall or Makanjoula than Stokes.

As badly as we need a BIG, I'm glad we got him. We have need a big man for a long time. He can take up a lot of space if he doesn't foul out.

Not following. Hall is gone no matter what. Swapping this guy for Yemi just gives me a "meh" kind of feeling, no big loss but not any real gain either. Swapping this guy for Stokes is a huge kick in the nuts.

From what Hyams said on radio today. He has a big plus side on rebounding and has a better offensive skillset than Yemi does. Said he was really set back by an injury. Anyone know what injury that was?

I mean you really can't downgrade when compared to Yemi's offensive set. I say let the kid play, but lets not all jump the wagon and say this kid is some big upgrade over Yemi.

Welcome young man! Represent your University in a proper way and give your all for Tennessee today and everyday! That's all we can ask.

This young man is a Vol now and its time to treat him with the respect he deserves.

Those are not my words, that is what was said. I don't know if he is an upgrade or not cause I have not seen him play. But he is bigger than Yemi, lets hope he jumps better. I would expect a 5/5 player if he is halfway decent, which is double the production of Yemi.

You just bashed a guy, which was totally uncalled for, and then you make this statement right after. You are a real supreme genius...

My first statement was related to bashing the OP for his comment about "Martin is lost." I disagreed. So what.

My second comment was based on my opinion that I think Stokes will be staying and that I think this guy may be a swap for Yemi. I forgot that Hall is gone anyway.

So, my second comment was unrelated to the OP... I'm not sure how you connected those. No reason to be a supreme d bag.

Started the season in a walking boot.
Worked his way into shape and playing time on court this season.
Biggest problem was running with the up tempo.(injury related)
Coach from western carolina that recruited him out of HS said he ran the floor well for a big man.

So lost he has a preseason top 25 team on his hands.

Welcome to Tennessee Pops, best of luck to you!!!

Preseason means nothing. Im not sayin he is lost yet but come on backing that up with preseason rankings? We will see by the end of next year. So far Im not confident he can lead this team to the dance, but next year excuses wont matter.

Heard he lost 80 pounds. Sounds like another Brian Williams story. God I hope I don't have to hear every time he enters a game for the next 3 years how he lost 80 pounds like we did with BW.

Look at this guy's stats and offers and you have to wonder what Martin is looking at when evaluating players. Is he trying to prove he is smarter than everyone else? A better coach than anyone else, how did this guy every become a prospect to come to UT in the first place? There hasn't been 1 legitimate reason given in all these threads for us to give this guy a scholarship, not one. If you are tryig to replace the worst 2 guys on your roster then you go out and get 2 guys better not 2 guys that are the same as you already have.

Only logical reason that I can think of is that Stokes is closer to probably leaving than staying. At that point CCM has to go get what's left in the recruiting market.

Have you evaluated him? You looked at stats, that's it, no video and probably haven't looked at why the stats were low. He should be expected to be a 5/5 guy with a limited role. If he provides that, he will more than double Yemi.

All this bashing and nobody has seen him play. We have seen Yemi and Hall, anyone halfway serviceable is gonna be an upgrade.
