IMO this is the weakest set of QB's we have faced on our schedule in a long time. One or two may have a break out year. Some are first time starters, none are seasoned except maybe Knight but that comes with an *. It will be interesting to watch their progress or regression.
This is my order I'm sure most have a different opinion. Of course Dobbs would be on top of this list.

1. Cooper Bateman , Alabama
2. Brandon Knight ,Texas A&M
3.Taylor Lamb ,Appalachian State
4. Jason Eason ,Georgia
5.Drew Barker, Kentucky
6. Luke Del Rio, Florida
7. Drew Lock , Missouri
8.Brandon Mcllwain, South Carolina
9.Je'rod Evans Virginia Tech
10.Kyle Shurmur, Vanderbilt
11 Greg Windham Ohio
12. Jared Davis, Tennessee Tech

Man that is a weak list.

Some of them will do better than expected but most I would say remain average.

Personally, I would replace Bateman with Knight as #1, if for no other reason in that he has experience, and experience in big games. Plus, he is already 1-0 against UT. I also think Shurmer should be higher on the list because he has a season under his belt. He was certainly more effective against us last season than Lock.

This fact alone is going to make Shoop look like a god and get him a lot of praise. It's going to be Picks all over the field!!! Can't wait for all the turnovers muahaha

Bama QB's should never be #1 on a list. They don't even do anything but manage the game. If we can stop/contain the run and pressure their qb just like last year, we're gonna win. Our defense is gonna be up for that challenge, believe that.

With all due respect, I think the popular idea that all Bama qbs do is "manage the offense" is a myth. Go back and look at the stats of Bama's last 3 starting qbs, Coker, Sims and McCarron. If that's "game managing", I pray that we get a "game manager" behind center as soon as humanly possible.

Bama's last 2 QBs have been better down field passers than Dobbs. It's been painful to watch a run heavy game, then see a WR slip behind the D, then Dobbs over throws him by 5 yards. Bama's QBs hit those plays and that's how they blow so many teams out. If we win big this year it will look like 98 with a lot of grind it out close wins and blow outs of the bad teams

..And I suggest you go look at salami's spring game and look at cockers games last year. They weren't even good game managers. Both are piss poor excuses for QB's. Mccarran was the best thing salami had in ages. he got it. He may not have been physically talented but he was mentally on top of the game. Sims was good because he was the oldest person on the field and it took him half the year to get good. He did get good by the end of the year though. salami lovers need to move a little farther south. get a grip people.

Smart money says we beat Virgina Tech by more than we beat Tn Tech.

Go Vols!

Spot on. As good of a line as Bama usually has as well as their RBs their QBs do a great job of "game manging" the ball down field when needed.

That's a very balanced team and the QB hasn't been a weak link for them. I'd say the opposite .

I can agree to an extent, but their not game changers that we should be afraid of is what I'm getting at. I can guarantee Dobbs is the #1 feared qb in the conference because he can completely take over a game.
