I’ll support Pruitt for sure. I think he can do great things here if the University lets him.

Pruitt is okay as would be Venable or Tucker...but please don't give these "up and comer" DC's a 10 mil buy out. One years salary should be the top. So 3.5 mil for 5 years with a 3.5 mil buyout if they are fired in return if they want to leave 1 mil for the Vol AD and a thank you. JMHO

One. Alabama graduate and therefore incompetent moron. Reputation largely-earned off a defense that has been micromanaged by the head coach. Butch-slapped when not under Daddy's protection.

Comes with Saban's recommendation. So too did Derek Dooley.

So the national championship defense at FSU and the great defenses at UGA were also micromanaged by the head coaches? When he was named recruiter of the year twice that was a fluke? The trend in conference has been success by defense oriented coaches who have very physical and disciplined teams. Fulmer knows this. With a solid staff that can recruit I think Tucker or Pruitt would be great hires.

Anywhere else he might be an 8. Here, with the AD, donors at war, jackwagon press, drama queen fans, and trying to stay sane being on TV with Bob, he gets a 1. But Smokey gets him up to a 2.

I gave him a 7. Given the circumstances right now, it’s an 11. He’s had success everywhere. Way better than any of the other non-HC guys we were looking at, and several of the HCs we took a stab at (cough cough Mullen and Doeren)

I gave it a seven based on what was left out there. Maybe should have been an eight. If we are talking who was available from the beginning, maybe it's closer to a 5. Gruden, Petersen, Fisher, and a few others were never available so please don't let herd psychosis affect your selection. Additionally, this hire in no way impacts my likelihood to renew tickets or make donations (my "support" level remains essentially zero.) I think the whole experience illustrates that donating with an eye towards seeing positive results is a fools' errand. You can be a fan and not an idiot.

Not an A+ hire, but a solid B.

With a solid staff, I would change that an B+ and with all the BS that's gone on the past two weeks, I think the fans should be happy that we got someone that has had success at every stop.

Gave it a 6 right now with the potential to be bumped up to a 6.5 or 7 with a great OC hire or bumped down to a 5 with dud OC hire.

With his recruiting past and with what Saban complimented him on with improving the defense. Could be higher depending on who the OC is.

Fulmer's last hire was bama d coordinator Carl torbush for ETSu which turned out to be horrible.
