We never discuss music in here. I like a little of everything but i have always loved good rap.

So all you hip hop fans come in here and critique the recent cds you have bought.

I just recently got the new Project Pat and the new Lil Wayne and Birdamn cd.

Project Pat is tight. Typical Three Six stuff but good.

Havent made it through the Lil Wayne yet. Will update when i do.

I like Project Pat. I saw Three Six Mafia in concert not too long ago. I for one am a screw head, though. I usually only bang DJ Screw(RIP), Swishahouse (no.. not Mike Jones), or just Texas rappers (see S.U.C) stuff. Alot of chopped & Screwed. But, I still listen to a variety of everything.

Lil Wayne still goin' hard, I love 'Ride with the Mack'

The new cd by The Game is good but damn he is trying to sound just like Dre. Listen to the songs, he is replicating his voice exactly.

Anything by Three Six, I will listen to. Cant go wrong with the Memphis boys.

That is from the Color of Money album right?

Hard to find. What else is good on that album??

The new Lil' Wayne and Birdman CD is very very good. I purchased the Three Six "Most Known Hits" CD. I don't really have any other new rap CD's other than the new DMX. It is very good just like all of DMX's stuff. I wish another good Tupac CD would come out, but I think that boat has sailed. It doesn't get much better than Tupac.

How is the newest from Jay-Z? I really like the Black Album. Ludacris is so smooth with his lyrics. And, I find Eminem to be infectiously compelling at times (and, downright offensive at others, of course).

I'm not too big on Jay-Z's new single, it seems over-produced, which is saying a lot for a guy like Jay. Too much going on. I think he's lost it in the studio over the last 6 years.

I'm always big on underground hip-hop. Del and the rest of the Hieroglyphics crew, Souls Of Mischief, more mainstream true hip hop, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West (although I find his arrogance annoying at times), etc. Old NWA stuff is great. Eazy-E, older Ice Cube, etc. As far as more hardcore stuff, for me, Tech N9ne is it. He's been rapping about Bacardi 151, Malibu and pineapple juice for years now and it never gets old. And last but not least, hyphy. Bay area scene, but the true old stuff, not this Lil Jon-produced stuff. E-40 now is not really hyphy... Rick Rock, Federation, Mac Dre, all that stuff is great.

I like some of Kanye's stuff, but some of it is horrible. I also like Eminem when he isn't trying to make the songs that will be popular and get played on the radio. A group I didn't mention earlier is Bone Thugs n Harmony. I like Bizzy Bone's solo albums he has put out as well. The greatest rap song of all time is the song with Bone Thugs and Tupac called "Thug Love". If you haven't heard it, I highly recommend listening to it. I also like some old school Master P every now and then.

Nas's new album "Hip Hop Is Dead" is very good too. It's a breath of fresh air with all the white tee finger snappin out now.

Nas killed it in Hip Hop Is Dead. Kayne is just recycling music, he's starting to fall into that category with T.I.

Jay-Z is just whack now-a-days.

E-40 is still hyphy. Some may have lost respect for him as hyphy but that usually happens when someone blows up.

Let me rephrase with E-40... Because of the way Lil Jon produced My Ghetto Report Card, E-40's stuff is like hyphy-crunk. Not true one way or the other... It's interesting, but I like the pure ish. Just my preference.

Finished "Like Father Like Son". Pretty good. Stuntin like my daddy is the stand out so far through my first run through. Not alot of Stand our tracks but abut 12-15 solid ones. "No more" is really tight and surprisingly Birdman is alright. Cant stay with Wayne, but not many can. Definite must have.

I give it a B.

I agree. It is a very good CD, but not very many great songs. I have never heard a Lil' Wayne CD that wasn't full of good songs. Also, I have been trying to find an old Turk CD titled "Young and Thuggin'", but haven't been able to find it. Anyone know where to get a copy of it at or does anyone have it and could burn me a copy(I would gladly pay for it)?

All the reviews complain about Jeezy's flow. All i hear is his mainstream songs. Is it that bad??

The game is good. But damn he sounds exactly like Dre. All he does is kiss Dre's butt and name drop. I would love for him to just flow and quit trying to be like 50

That's my kind of hip hop.
