Feels like D1 is "punishing" us for that Kent State series lossThis is a strange D1 ranking

It's strange that so many teams at bottom of the list did not move yet they moved UVA up this month after beating a UNC Team on the road 2 of 3. It's not like UNC had a schedule that justified their prior ranking. UNC's best win is ECU but still went 1-1-1 on a weekend series. also, UVA's NonConf schedule was not stellar either. The Cavs best prior win was at Charlotte on Wednesday but they were shelled 14-0 nithing the night before.
UVA needed to be around 20-21 and NC about the same CCU, TCU, Oregon State, Tenn, FUS, UK and A&M moving up 1-2 spots. Moving UVA up that much because they beat another team that was ranked too high is a bit much.
Are these D1 Baseball RPI rankings? I looked online but could only find last weeks rankings.
The 28 Vanderbilt fans must be losing their minds
I think we may be staring at a down year in the SEC. I know it's early and an SEC team will more likely than not win the national title, but I don't think the bench is deep.
Missouri is smoke and mirrors.
I'm not sold on Old Miss at all and I still have doubts about Miss State as the season goes one.
Vanderbilt, Tennessee, and LSU are underperforming
Is the SEC younger this year as a whole compared to year's past? Feels like LSU, Vandy, Arky, us, and others lost a ton of experience. Shouldn't be much of a surprise that the top 3 teams in the SEC right now (MS State, Texas, Auburn) returned a bunch of experienceThe sec is struggling offensively as a whole.

The rankings have been highly suspect to start this year (that being said, I would imagine the writers are "penalizing" us for how our offense has looked against every not named Nicholls or Tennessee TechNow the baseball writers.

I'm not sure how 4-1 week with a series win against a good Wright State garners a 5-spot drop in the polls. Maybe the writers pay attention more to high profile Tennessee team and expect more?
Arkansas played their 4th game against Stetson on Monday afternoon AFTER the votes were tabulated but still lost on Sunday to the hatters and were up 2 spots. That is likely becauce LSU and North Carolina tanked more than anything.
Right now. I have ZERO faith in any SEC team except Texas. However, the Longhorns' SOS is 106 and NC SOS is 113. So even this faith may be unwarranted. Texas has not played a game outside their state yet and will not until a trip to Auburn on March 20th. In fact 25 of Texas's first 28 games AND 34 OF 40 are within Texas and they only play 12 games total outside Texas. Texas has a VERY soft schedule in 2026 and may go into the NCAA tournament fairly untested with 45 games (83.3%) in their home state
