3-11 are very similar. Hard to rank them. Probably better to rank them in tiers.

TIER I

Bama, UF

TIER II

Everybody else but MSU

TIER III

We put up more yardage against VT than we did in all but one game last year, and that was against a sorry Western Kentucky team.

The only SEC teams that learned anything new about their teams for this season are UGA and 'bama.

Period.

I think it's safe to say Tennessee's offense will be better than last season. How much better? We will not know for a few weeks, but we definitely learned something about UT IMO.

I was impressed by us, and Kentucky. Everybody else kind of did what I expected. As much as people want to downplay what we and Kentucky did here's some food for thought.

After Tennessee had the worst offense of my lifetime, they put up 63 and are leading the nation in offense. Sure it was against WKU, but we played cupcakes last year and the most we scored was 35.

Kentucky only had 1 40-point victory while Andre Woodson was there, and they hadn't held a team scoreless this decade.

This list is so awful...and Bama fans always want to act like they are on par with Florida when they are most certainly not.

UF wishes they had the history of Bama. If you are talking about this year, Bama looks good. We do not know about UF yet.

It was not a good game. Georgia's offense was pathetic. Okla St was 93rd in defense last year, and UGA put up 10 points. Okla St didn't even play that well. UGA had a couple very questionable calls go against them, but they were sloppy. If their defenders could catch Robinson would have thrown 4 picks. They had 2 long punt returns called back. Richard Samuel looked like my niece could tackle him, he was tripping over yard-lines.

I am not a UGA hater. I wanted them to win. They were unimpressive. I though Okla St was unimpressive as well. Boring game.

Way too early to tell much of anything well enough to rank the teams -- not until everybody has played one or two decent teams.

For example, Washington looked pretty dang good to me, but are they? How good are NC State, La Tech, Miami OH....?

Beating up on patsies like W. Carolina, W. Ky, Charleston Southern really doesn't tell you much about how you'll play against decent competition. Even so, it's definitely more encouraging when you totally dominate them like UT, Vandy, UF, Arky and MSU did on Saturday.

Y'all should be feeling much better now. It does help to get some timing down and work out some kinks when the offense gets to play a lot in a tune-up game. Hopefully UT will ride that momentum and confidence and put a beat down on UCLA.

Bama and UGA played the toughest opponents. USC, AU, UK, OM, & LSU played respectable opponents. UT, Vandy, UF, Ark and MSU played horrible opponents.

Point taken, but at least they were not playing CUPCAKE U!

Auburn did not look too hot I would replace Arky with them in your list.
