I don’t think that is correct. ESPN’s Playoff Predictor has not been updated with Saturday's results, but if you select the Vols as losing to Oklahoma and defeating Florida and Vanderbilt, the chance of making the playoffs is only 5 percent. Where are you seeing 90 percent?

The issue isn’t a 9-3 team getting in (it’s possible but highly, highly unlikely). The issue is we would have a terrible resume. Our best win would be a win over 3-4 loss Vandy team. We’d almost certainly be like the 3rd or 4th most deserving 3 loss team.

I don’t think we have a realistic shot anymore but Texas wouldn’t necessarily have to lose twice, even though it is a distinct possibility with them still having Georgia and A&M left to play.

Exactly. We would be greatly embarrassed in the playoffs. Coach H is okay but will never get us to an sec or national. Fla, LSU and Auburn will get coaches that will elevate them. They will hit the road getting portal players.

Hey you never know. If Florida would have beaten Georgia things might be different. As it stands we could blow out Vandy and Florida and still not get in.

I hope we at least make things interesting. More than likely we will go 7-5. Which is absolutely ridiculous given the overall talent we have.

It would be the first underachieving year for Heupel. And we might end the season with
THREE , 1,000 yards WRs.

Terrible year because of the many blown opportunities and just an entire program SCARED AS to grab hold of greatness.

The likelihood of this happening is slim to none but it’s possible. I never had us going to the playoff this year. Just didn’t think we had the horses to do it.

Relax boys the pressure if there ever was any is off. I knew after the Georgia game that this was not a team of destiny. It is a fun team to watch with Joey and a super group of players but not the smartest team I ever saw. Many young guys are contributing and we will see more the rest of the way including GMac I hope.

The odd numbered years that Bama and UF are away games are not kind for the football Orange. Basketball awaits which should be very interesting and there will no doubt be some exciting football left.

enjoy the open date and getting dark earlier which builds character.

Oklahoma was ranked #4 when TCU beat them, and it was the 4th game of the season. Who is #25 Tennessee going to beat in their last 3 games that would justify such a leap?

I mean, there's 4 weeks left, a lot could happen, but very unlikely. We're the highest 3 loss team, and Vandy could be a top 10 team when we play them for the final game. Very, very remote chance and would require some serious chaos.

If so much chaos happens in 3 weeks to give us a chance, that likely means Vandy is in the top 10 for our matchup. Never happening though.

The championship chase died with the losses to UGA & Bama. At that point we were bottom half in the SEC standings.

Lol, everything in life sucks now that we all got what we wanted. Paying the players and a playoff. We're not good enough to make the playoffs this year so let's not even talk about it. Let's fire errbody and start over and be miserable until then.
