What's your top 5 University of Tennessee head coaches.

Here's a list of the various sports and the coach for each. Will Pruitt make

Rick Barnes (men's bball)
Jeremy Pruitt (football)
Kellie Harper (women's bball)
Matthew Kredich (swimming)
Alison Ojeda (women's tennis)
Brian Pensky (soccer)
Eve Rackman (volleyball)
Tony Vitello (baseball)
Brennan Webb (golf)
Karen & Ralph Weekly (softball)
Chris Woodruff (men's tennis)
Lisa Glenn (rowing)
Beth Sullivan (track)

I know many of these aren't known, but I thought it unfair to not list them.

Here's my list

Rick Barnes (easily number 1)
Karen and Ralph (accomplished)
Tony Vitello (program clearly improving)
Kellie Harper (I think she will be great
Matthew Kredich (successful)

Thought you meant All Time football coaches at UT and laughed a little.

No clue on general coach rankings. I mean he sucks so I guess around the bottom. Dudes going 2-8 or at best 3-7this season so that’s got to be close to the bottom.

Was talking to my buddy and we were talking about Rick and how good the basketball team is and then he asked, how can the football coach not be the best coach at Tennessee. I told him, I could pick out 5 others better than him and yet he gets paid more than all of them combined if you take out Rick.

Don't forget, Rick Barnes fell into Tennessee's lap, Dave Hart had fully fouled up the basketball hire, opting for Donnie "Go Vowls" Tyndall, no consultant, no help, no background vetting and lo and behold, there was missed history that cost Tyndall his Division I coaching career, Texas fired Barnes, the Nike representatives in Dallas wanted to help their guy out, put the deal together, Handsome Dave had to just write the check, as the mess was all his creation, a splash hire took the focus off his abject failure,, and the rest is history, but Tennessee didn't lure Barnes away from Texas, he was fired,
Fulmer nearly screwed that hire through general neglect and uninterest, Barnes wins the Naismith award and the athletic director is who knows where, Randy Boyd came in and provided stability and credibility where Fulmer had none, he assumed Barnes was gone, Boyd ensured that he was not.

I lived in Austin when Barnes was there and everyone I knew was really surprised when he (Barnes) was fired. He brought in ton of talent into that program (the other UT) but could never seem to win the big games according to the locals. We have yet to see if he can win the big games here, there have not been too many of them yet.
