Rank the remaining schedule in order of difficulty

Has everyone forgotten what Arkansas did to us last year? Why does that suddenly appear like an easy game?

I think the loss of Marcus Monk has really hurt the Razorbacks. Without him they haven't been able to make defenses respect the pass. They are ranked 97th nationally in team passing.

I have read he may end up red-shirting this season since it's already halfway over. If Monk does return this season and has fully recovered from his surgeries then I think Arkansas could be just as dangerous as last season.

I have long feared Arky too. But I watched them, and i've listened to others on here and they are right. Dick sucks. He's awful. Just because of the general chaos going on in Fayetteville, I'm not as worried about that game as I am Bama, USC, and UK

UK- only because if we turn the ball over their offense is good enough to capitalize
USCe- because they have the best defense we have left to play, but @ Neyland w/freshman QB I like UT
Alabama- on the road, but they are just not very good
MSU- only because their defense is solid, no pass game = UT being able to stop the run
Arky- exact same scenario as MSU, only a worse def
Vanderbilt- they are quite bad
ULL- they would even get killed by Vandy

@Bama--i just have a feeling that this game will be much tougher than Bama has shown to be the past couple of games. this is one of those "circled" games on their schedule.
SC--Spurrier for obvious reasons, and their defense may be the best D we see all year. plus if all goes well, this game will mean the world to both teams.
@KY--the offense can still cause our D problems. Our Offense will cause problems for their D. close game either way....
@MSU--classic trap game against a team that is good up front, in their house. this game is about mindset, nothing more.
Ark--i see us winning, i just can't be scared of Casey Dick. their d isn't great, and if they're one dimensional, even with DM and FJ, we should still be able to win.

Here's mine:

1. South Carolina (Spurrier has had Fulmer number)
2. Kentucky (Second longest winning streak in the country, longest is Notre Dame/Navy)
3. Alabama (Saban wants to prove himself)
4. Arkansas (Running game)
5. Miss St
6. Vandy

I second this with the exception of Kentucky and Alabama... switch those two around Bama will put up a tougher fight

1. MSU - Road game. MSU has picked up some. On the rare occasion they actually step up and play, they could be a dangerous game at a dangerous time.

2. Arkansas - I think Bama win was just one of those things, and Ark lost a game they may have took too lightly. They always seems to show up for UT.

3. USC - Spurrier always puts his best foot forward. Never easy to coach against and does alot with a little. Smelley is progressing, and by that point in the season they should be gelling much better.

4. UK - A possible flagship season, and last chance for a while with Woodson graduating. They will bring the measuring stick to that game.

5. Bama - JUst don't see the tools there to sustain a miracle and instant rebound season in full. But it is Bama/UT, so this could easily be #1.

6. Vandy - Just not the same Vandy as last year, if that means anythnig.

Arkansas

Most of the reasons everyone is giving for beating Arkansas are the same reasons UT should have beaten them last year and didn't.

Dick was bad last year as a QB. UT's run defense is as bad as last season, though they might have turned the corner against GA.

I think it's a tough game. Playing in Neyland should help.

Kentucky

If Navy beats Notre Dame like everyone expects that will end the longest winning streak in the country. The next longest is UT over Kentucky. This is Kentucky's best team they have played against UT in some time. Another very tough game. IMO Kentucky will be the most motivated team UT plays.

I concur on both points you made on Ark and KY. I think they both will be very formidable opponents when the time comes. I just think MSU for some reason should be taken very seriously. They beat an AU team that beat UF, and showed they could play up in that game. They, too, will be viewing UT as proving grounds.

7. ULL

SC- Maybe the toughest defense we will play all year
ARKANSAS- If we take a night off (a la UF and CAL) defensively, they will literally run all over us
ALABAMA- I JUST WANNA WIN THIS ONE AGAIN...so thats why it worries me
KENTUCKY- Luckily wehave them at the end of the season where they will have to rely on a lot of backups.
MISS ST.- Not as scary as they started the season...VOLS should roll
VANDY- They are Vandy...they are the blind squirrel that found their nut in '05.

I think the difficulty is in the order already scheduled, minus LLF, who is last. I think this also because the more wins we put together and the more confidence we get will make the games less difficult

Miss State - because we are under 48 hours going to Starkville KICK-OFF, and they beat AU.
Alabama - because of the storied tradition between the two schools
USCe - because they could be in 1st place and SSpurrier and their defense
ARK - because #5
KY - Because the Randy Sanders, being away, and KY's O
Vandy - because they will be easiest win on the remaining schedule besides LLF
LLF - because this game will not only be the less difficult, it will not be difficult at all.

While playing ARK at home, if we have rattled off wins against Miss State, ALA, and USCe, then we will win the game, more so for KY, and even more so for Vandy.

Saturday's game is all that matters right now. This game is HUGE for our program.

I AM PUMPED - GO VOLS!!! BEAT MISS STATE!!!

Agreed!!! Each win makes the next one easier as it becomes the expected norm of the team, success breeds success. my only concern is Tenns tendency to play down to the level of competition. the Georgia game gave me some badly needed confidence, hope it continues...GO VOLS!!:clapping:

Arky is the team that scares me the most out of all we have left. The hogs have always been a thorn in our side and they will have alot to prove on Nov 10th, Nutt is coaching for his job and win in Knoxville wouldnt hurt...
Could you get me the record of UT/ Hogs since they came into the SEC?

(1 )Bama-up to this point our guys have been scared to take a bus trip.Very hostile environment.
(2)USC-yes spurrier still coaches there.
(3)Arkansas-still having disturbing visions of mcfadden shredding our defense last year. Good news thats all they have.
(4)Kentucky-It was hard picking arky over kentucky. How poorly we have defended the run gives arky the edge.Another road game.:ermm:
(5)Miss. St.-Croom and the boys are a tough out. But i just don't see them beating us right now. Another road game. But probably the easiest of the three.
(6)Vandy-Last but not least vandy. Always competitive but seldom with winning results. This year will be no different.
