I thought this would be a fun idea, just to see what y'all thought. Which wins did you think were the best/most fun/intense? Oh, and explain why too.

For me, it's:
1. Georgia (45-19) - Got the season turned around, Crompdaddy's coming out party, proved Kiffin correct.
2. USCjr. (31-13) - Black jerseys = AMAZING. Nice to whoop up on Spurrier, Alshon Jeffery, and shut up the trolls.
3. Kentucky (30-24 OT) - 25 straight!!! WOOOO!!! And also we beat them we they were SURE they would beat us.
4. Vanderbilt (31-16) - Closer than I would have liked, but Wes Brown made that game great.
5. Western Kentucky (63-7) - Only game I went to. An awesome time and an awesome start to the year!
6. Memphis (56-28) - First half was great on offense and defense. 2nd half backups did put a bit of a damper on it, though.
7. Ohio (34-23) - Bit closer than we all wanted it to be, but it looks decent now that they are 9-3 and playing for the MAC this week.

Thoughts?

Ohio ended up 9-3, 7-1 in their conference. That actually ended up being a solid win. Thus, that should be valued higher.

Yeah the Ohio victory looks like a pretty solid non-conference win now. After the game though people were complaining and worrying since we didn't blow them out. The kick coverage was bad, Crompton still looked shaky, and we never really pulled away.

At the time I was not too impressed, but as complete regular season unfolded, the Ohio win (9-3 team) should be about number 4 or 5 with the rest about right. I agree with Neyland Law Vol.

I think Kentucky was the most important regular season win for the following reasons:

1) Beat the opponent in a (semi) hostile environment.
2) Secured 2nd in SEC East for UT.
3) Showed UT could play against an emotionally motivated team. UK had 2 really big wins this season, and was ready to play hard against UT.
4) Showed UT could make good halftime adjustments against a slippery offense.
5) Showed UT could make a solid comeback against a serious rival opponent.

Oh, and let me say any win is a great win. The first 3 are very interchangeable to me, IMO. UGA and USC were swing games before this year, and UK was a swing game last week, so all 3 were very important wins.

It's kinda sad, but if you're ranking them by how you felt afterward, the loss to Florida would fall between #6 and #7 for me. (Though I agree that, in retrospect, Ohio was a better team than we gave them credit for.)

Georgia for sure... remember back at the time we were coming off the Auburn loss where both our offense and defense looked bad. Record at the time was 2-3. A loss there would have really hurt. And not only did we win, we stomped a mudhole in their rear ends.

Exactly why I ranked that #1.

Y'all probably got some good lists too. I'd like to see what y'all think.

1) Georgia - totally unexpected beatdown, probably salvaged the season
2) Kentucky - a quarter-century of domination - enough said!
3) USC (jr) - showed the cocks that they are their namesake
4) Memphis - being a native of Memphis, for me this one was personal - I love being able to rub this beatdown in the face of Memphis fans I know
5) Ohio - as stated by other posters, a solid win against a team that turned out to be pretty decent.

If we hadn't won the Georgia game, there wouldn't have been many other wins to talk about.

The Georgia game may well prove to be the turning point for our program and the beginnings of real success for CLK at UT. On the flipside, it could also be the beginning of the end for Richt, if Georgia reassumes its customary position as third horse in the SEC East.

That horse has already been saddled up. Things will be no better for UGA next season.

Same here. Although we will have much more to rub in their faces in a little over a month....(/digression)

But I agree with what Hatvol said. Georgia made this believe that they could play and that J-Cromp was the right choice (something I said all season long), so that's why it is #1.

The Georgia game definitely was the turning point of this season. I shudder to think what could have become of this season had Tennessee lost that game.
