He didn't spout off anything. I heard the same as DV regarding Shannon being contacted and wanting the position.
I didn't take into account contract issues and didn't think it would be an obstacle with an unemployed coach.

So what. Information changes. If you don't want to read what some guys post, skip it and whine about somebody else's posts.

He ended up not being as close as many of us thought. I do think the risk of something being uncovered by the ncaa and the possibility of him getting a show cause penalty while at a bcs school is keeping him unemployed as well. I didn't think about that initially. He hasn't been linked to anything, but the investigation is ongoing.
