Yeah he's doing well, talking a little seems to take a lot out of him. I started to tear up as I was about to head home, he smiled and said p*****. Made me chuckle. Kid's a fighter always has been.

So I posted yesterday then removed it. My best friend got shot last night. The cops suspect a car jacking. He was in surgery pretty much all night, he is in stable condition at this point. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Sorry I missed this. Glad he seems to be stable and doing OK.

Going to a funeral today. Longtime friend is 43. Has 5 kids, one downs syndrome, and his wife just passed from cancer. Cant imagine what he is dealing with.

Yep. Was feeling sorry for myself when I got the text. Complaining about little stuff of no significance.
That man has to support his family and care for 5 kids, one extreme special needs, and have some semblance of a life while losing the love of his life. And he travels the state for work. Heartbreaking.

I have to add that in their last post on her Carronbridge site, she was fading away as he sat by her at home. She told him it was time and she got this look on her face. He asked her what was going on and she said, "halos. I see halos". Then she died.
