My dad used to build cabinets in his basement when he wasn't working his regular job. This was back in the late 60's and early to late 70's, saving to go to real estate school. Anyway, I remember his hammer was a Plumb. Funny the things we remember.

I'm not much on the beets, in fact, bleck. Lol. But I can dig the Clamato juice. I learned a chilled seafood cocktail (not liquor cocktail) from a Mexican prep-cook that uses Clamato, orange soda, ketchup, avacodo, onion, jalapeño, shrimp, octopus, crab and bay scallops. Isht is unbelievable.

Some things just stick with us forever. My Grandad had two plumb hammers. One straight claw, one curved claw. He had them as far back as I could remember. He died in 1990. I still have the straight claw hammer. For some reason, that hammer and his L.C Smith double barrel were the only things of his that I wanted after he passed away, because of the memories associated with both.

Among my kin, American lager is considered "lawn mowing" beer. When you've finished mowing the yard or some other landscaping/gardening chore, turning up and draining an ice cold American lager hits the spot. Yuengling is the current preferred brand of the easterners, but the best mini-mart beer deal is usually on Icehouse.
