Thanks man. He was my best friend and best dog I've ever had

A couple days ago was the 10th year anniversary of one of my dogs dying. I grew up riding on his back and messing around with him all the time. He was a beagle, and sadly got loose out the yard and got hit by a car. They're great friends to have.

Doing my best to be a good sport about Halloween, but I've got a nasty cold, dogs are wound up, old lady is on a 24 hour shift.

I'm debating giving the neighbor kids each a bag of candy when they get off the bus and then shutting off the lights for the night.

I found a beagle on the highway 6 years ago or so, he's still here as I never found his owner. Despite being a daily pain in the ass, and borderline untrainable, his personality is a hoot. Don't know that I'd get another breed again, outside of a pound mutt.

I found one out in the woods of southern ky. Middle of nowhere, no collar. Ended up giving it my grandma (actually a pretty small beagle) and she has loved it for years now. Great breed for a variety of people.

Thanks guys. I'm just hanging out right next to him tonight keeping him comfortable. This is one of the hardest things I've had to deal with in my life.

I've had to do this and if you've never done it before the vet is going to offer you a choice
You can say goodbye, and the vet will take him back in a room, or they will let you go back with them

either choose is heart wrenching, just want you to know before you walk in, and give you time to think about what you want to do

godspeed

This is my first. I definitely want to be with him. I owe him that

Amazing thread in the FF. Not sure why some are trying to divide the fan base this past year.

I'm comfortable with going to bed with a win and a smile. I have forgotten how to react with close wins, as we've been in a Charlie Brown / Lucy phase forever.

Let's build on the win, but before we worry about that, enjoy this one.
