Freak, Ga, Milo, Bill, Volly, and Z have accepted.
So far, PJ has not accepted, but to be fair, he probably thinks it's a trick. It's actually a product of being out of work sick and incredibly bored. When I started, my friend list was in the single digits, so I started sending out friend requests to zoners and mods. Now, I'm in the 20's.
Ron, be my friend.
No you're not.
At any rate, I've never understood the purpose of the "friend" thing. It doesn't do anything as far as I know. I just accept when I get the request.
When I get too tired to find conversations to join in on, I've started to send out friend requests. I have lots of time on my hands right now. I started with zoners and mods. Zoners because this is the forum I most consider home. Mods because I realized I'd never befriended Freak, which led to befriending mods as well. Where I go after that I don't know. Hopefully I'll be cleared to go back to work before I have to find out.
My husband had hernia surgery recently. He's out for at least a few more weeks. I feel bad for him. He isn't good at having to do nothing.
It is kinda fun taking him shopping though. Bought a vacuum cleaner and he had to stand there while I loaded it up. The next day took him grocery shopping and he had to stand there while I loaded the groceries. Our daughter-in-law said "You need a sign around your neck that says I can't lift anything cause I just had hernia surgery, not because I'm a bad husband." haha
I make my girlfriend do everything while I supevise and make cat calls.I hope he gets better soon. It's hard for any man to step back and let a woman do the heavy lifting. I know that sounds sexist, but it's not meant to be. Women are just as capable as men, but men, at least of a certain age, have it hardwired into them that it's their place to do that.
I feel like I'm digging a deep hole with those comments, but I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.![]()
