I have family in San Diego, and I forget the name if the other place. My friend and her family live about an hour from LA.

If you go out there at least save a couple days to visit San Francisco and the surrounding area. The difference between northern and southern California is astounding, it's hard to believe they're in the same state.

Both parts of the state are beautiful, but would never live in Nor Cal. I prefer warm weather and beaches

I used to be a diet Pepsi fan in the early 90's. Now I only drink a cola once or twice a month, and it is usually a diet Dr. Pepper. They are good.
