43 yr old friend just told me he has stage 4 melanoma. He has kids the same as mine.
He asked me if I would tell my kids or try to hide it.

Tough stuff. I have a coworker that has Stage 4 renal cancer. Spots on lungs & brain. He's kept working but plans to take a T&P disability retirement. Real trooper, he is.
