Yes. Smart and rebellious but not stupid.

.Nimrod (/ˈnɪm.rɒd/,[1]Hebrew: נִמְרוֹדֿ, Modern Nimrod Tiberian Nimrōḏ Aramaic: ܢܡܪܘܕ‎ Arabic: نمرود‎), king of Shinar, was, according to the Book of Genesis and Books of Chronicles, the son of Cush and great-grandson of Noah. He is depicted in the Tanakh as a man of power in the earth, and a mighty hunter. Extra-biblical traditions associating him with the Tower of Babel led to his reputation as a king who was rebellious against God

Hmmm... If you believe in God, which clearly he did, and deliberately spite God, isn't that kind of stupid? It's like trying to wrestle a gorilla, or charging a rhino, or swimming with a bull hippo when his cows are in heat. Yeah, you can call it rebellious, but when that gorilla rips off an appendage or you get gored by the rhino or that bull hippo bites you in two, it goes from rebellious to "Well, that wasn't a good idea".
