My dad has one. You have to wait for forever for really hot water if you are in the bathroom with the longest run of pipe. Maybe he should have done a second one but it's not all that.

No. I think if you want fast hot water you have to install boosters at each sink etc. it does work good once it's working and I'm sure it saves in electricity but you waste a lot of water with his particular setup. My boss has a ritzy house, he has this recirculated system which is expensive as all hell and gives you instant and endless hot water. It will never pay for itself.

I'm mechanical/plumbing designer (for now) and there is a time and place for instantaneous hot water, but generally not the average everyday home.

You have to run a loop. So extra piping har to have a booster pump. Not a Ton of extra money. And have to run the pump constantly. Still not a ton of money but it all adds up
