i need some country boy knowledge -

have a deer roast & i wanna slice it for steaks. any particular way I should cut it?

Never done it but my guess would be across the grain and thinnish....3/4"-1''. Should be a few hunters in here to help.
 
best way to cook deer on the grill is too cut the tenderloin in 2 inch thick pieces, butterfly it, wrap it in bacon and grill it. More than likely its still gonna be a little tough and dry though if you have never done it before.

I marinade mine in dales the watered down version light soy sauce and allegro then grill like bubba said dont over cook it..
 
I hope GatorBill comes back after he takes another Vicodin to tell us more inspirational stories about that sh!thole, Michigan.
 
Man I would not mind going to the SOCON basketball tournament. 0% chance at getting someone to go with me though.
