Did ya'll see the SNL skit where Timberlake plays Elton John singing Candle In The Wind for Hugo Chavez? Pretty funny stuff.
Yes. That was a pretty damn strong SNL, as expected. Any time a legacy host comes, they get all the old cast and 5 timers and have a bunch of throwback skits. Andy Samberg, Aykroyd, Steve Martin, Chevy "The Show Ruiner" Chase, Martin Short, Timberlake, Tom Hanks.
I'm not a huge fan of JT's as a musician, even though he has an outstanding voice, but I thought his performance with Jay Z was incredible.
Went with RV to our first opera ever. La Boheme. I was reading the Acts in the program and we both thought, Oh no this is going to be stooopid. However once it started we were captivated. Thank goodness for the subtitles overhead, they helped us follow the story being sung in Italian.
We will definitely go to more in the future. It's all we talked about the rest of the weekend. Very moving and powerful.
