G.I. Joe, He-Man, Transformers, I don't see them as comic book movies. They're toy based movies. First came the toys, then came the comics. But I also grew up in the '80's and love them just the same. It's a shame to see concepts like those that have the potential to be great, but no one knows how to write them up. It's like the Punisher movies. The Punisher has a story that should make a great movie, but for whatever reason, they've failed in three different tries. Not that I think all three were bad, but they weren't great either. And Daredevil and Elektra could have been better as well. They need to find writers who actually understand the characters they're writing.
