That was the going price for most concerts then. I saw Eric Clapton and Muddy Waters (same concert) for $9.50. Also, ZZ Top for the same price. All during about a 12-14 month period. Saw The Rolling Stones in the mid '60's for free. Ticket prices were $4-$5.
That doesn't ring a bell. Glen Frey was riding in a car with his drug dealer on the way to a poker game. They were going 90mph on an LA freeway. Glen said they were "carrying". Glen looked over at the driver, as if to say come on man, slow down. The driver looked over at Glen and said "Life In The Fast Lane". Glen said, now that's a song title!

I'm sick as a dog and slept all of four hours. Now, I've got to drive to Nashville and sit in a doctors office waiting room most of the day.
