He'll finish out the year, I expect maybe a week after the Kentucky game he'll be let go. Interim will coach bowl game IF we go to one. Hopefully JG will be hired at the beginning of the year.

This sounds like one of the more reasonable posts I've read on the topic. Barring a complete collapse against one of the cupcakes left on the schedule, I can't see UT firing Dooley with regular season games remaining.

Only way I'd fire him mid-season is if you had a shot at landing someone who wasn't currently coaching somewhere else that could start recruiting now.
