My bm be asking "Where u get that scratch from?"

I be like "IDK" and I usually don't.

In my mind I be like"Bish u know I work in construction, u can go on wit dat..."

A baby daddy can't even work hard deez days.

I've definitely never been a slacker. Lost 40 lbs, taught myself to dunk, got fast. I work every single day. I just look at it like this, if God gave me the ability to get up and get better, I should go do it. Some people don't have that opportunity..

I will send you an email in the morning. i know a couple coaches that know coaches, and I will send them a note. No promises, nothing to get excited about. But I will send them a quick note.

Tired old man must now sleep.

My best piece of advice.

Scholly or no scholly, make sure you go somewhere that fits you personally and academically. We cant all be Earvin Johnson, or Mike Jordan. Most of us will have to work for a living. Figure out what you want to do, find a school that can help you achieve it.

Secondly, take your family into consideration. Do you want to take a scholly so bad that you would move away to a school just to go for free, and leave your family and friends behind. Some people think this is an advantage and that is cool also. Just make sure the distance suits you.

Thirdly. If you get scholly offers that dont excite you, but have walk on opportunities at places that DO excite you, walk on. Work your azz off, and earn a scholly down the road a piece. I know this method works, and it works very well.

My own kid passed on a free ride (academic) to the school she has always loved, to attend a school she would learn to love (mostly free ride) to be closer to family. Couldnt stand the thought of being 8.5 hours from mom and pop. And now, that kid is a scholly athlete, all due to that HEART thing that I mentioned in my other breathlessly long post.
(Im sure you already knew to think about this shtuff anyways, just reminding you)
Go get it man.

Appreciate it. I've always wanted to live in Chicago, and could play at UIC, but I'm not sure I could leave my neice and nephews like that.

wtf again..Cwill go do your thing as far away from home as possible. It will help in the long run. Take your best opportunity.

It won't be forever, you can come back periodically. You need to follow your dream. We have email and phones these days.

True. I'll have to talk to my parents and I still have to show out in these camps. I just know I went to watch Trevecca's scrimmages against each other and I could play with their seniors.

The Trevecca coach told me to call him and schedule an unofficial visit next week when they start practicing. That's about it.[/QUOTE]

Well if you have a coach interested without playing your senior year and coming off an injury, you obviously have skills. Good luck at the camp, I'm sure more interest will come from you going.

please note: I did NOT say "stay at home, it is always best"

Just: "Figure out what is right for you. Consider all of your options. And then go get some"

Good luck man. Im certain you will do well. (just make sure you get some sleep and are not posting all night on a message board the night before camp)

It's a big camp. Jarnell Stokes went back when he was being recruited. Their main goal is to get players exposure.
I still know I'd drag cwil.

Outta shape and all.

Come to Nashville and I'll hit you with a few crossovers.

Thanks. I definitely won't be on here much this week and next week. I'll get on here and tell about how it went after it's over.

Chase your dream wherever it takes you man. It'll be rough to be away from home, but it'll be worth it in the long run. Out of high school, I went away from home to play. Woulda had decent minutes my sophomore year and started as a junior. Got homesick and left school, I regretted it for a long time. Just make sure you make the right decision for you.

If I get offers, I'm not really opposed to going out of state. I just have to get the offers first.
