Random Thoughts XXIV

It did a little on the day it happened and the week following. We always had bang up birthday parties for everyone that worked for me. Juan, my lab manager, told me......We gon do it up big tomorrow for your birthday....fireworks, pyro and errrthing. I got in the car at 6:15 am, CA time, to go to work. Turned on the radio and thought I had tuned in to a War of The Worlds type thing. Stunned. I traveled a lot and getting out of airports that week was crazy. Armed guards and dogs everywhere. My thoughts were........we've lost everything we've ever fought for.:hi:

My dad called me freaking out because we lived near Oak Ridge at the time ( He works for the FAA). He said while the planes were still in the air one of the flight trajectories they had mapped out was Oak Ridge.

I know that wasn't one of their targets, but still made you clinch a little.

A lot of the pros are switching to that but personally It feels awkward to hit one. Prolly take you sometime to get used to it.:peace2:

I read some research about them. For me, the main thing was getting rid of the back pain I was having after golf and it actually worked. Someone, can't remember who, did a clinic for about 50 people who had never used on. Everyone did as well or better after a full days seminar and usage. And, they all bought one afterwards. It is a different technique, but gets easier after a week or so. A lot of people don't like them because they "aren't pure to golf". But, neither is the newer ball configurations, the large metal drivers and woods or the cavity back irons. All these changes, to me, are about making golf more fun for us amateurs who pay to play. The next big move for golf courses will be to make the hole larger. Book it!
