What do you want?

got a call from my kid. Had to run her 4mile this morning....you know...for that team she is a part of......

She had to be within 5% of her best 4mile time from last season. Worked her buttside off all summer, beat last years best by 2 minutes! Its a good day.

Blueticks are the most good natured, sweet dogs. They love children. RV has even taken them to school with her before. Even being crowded around by a bunch of ankle biters, they had enough love and kisses to go around for everybody. I would have to say for a Bluetick to harm anyone, they would have to be under attack or being abused in some horrible way. Agression toward children or adults is not in their nature, albeit they are aggressive hunters. I pity the squirrels or rabbits that come onto our property.

pretty awesome dog. I might have to consider one when one of the two current dogs kicks over.

My kids dog is trying to rid our pasture of Rabbits and Groundhogs. He is on a pace of about 1 a day lately.

I like how you have not read anything I just wrote. If you did, you just ignored the point I was making.

I read it. Give me 2-3 days and I can find any car Carmax can in equal or better shape at the same or better price. Plus I can guarantee that I can more for a trade than what Carmax will give.

If you can't do that then you can't do research and/or negotiate. 2 skills I want my lawyer to have.

BS. I exhausted ever resource. I found that carmax offered me a fair price and would also deliver the car to me which was nice since there was not a decent one within 6 hours drive.

You would do well not to make assumptions about my legal skills from my car buying methods.

I never claimed that carmax was great but it has worked for me in the past.

Yep, I didnt consider them when I bought in November. What happened tri?

Found a TL there. Price was okay. Not a great deal but not outrageous. I was going to trade an old Altima and was hoping for $1000 but would have settled for $500. They offered me $100. I could have gotten $250 at a junkyard. Told their manager he would have to do better than that. He said they don't negotiate. I looked at the salesman and said "sorry I wasted your time" then walked out. Felt bad cause the guy came in on saturday, his day off.

Carmax is for people who are not patient, don't know how to use the internet and/or can't negotiate. They won't rip you off but your not going to get a good deal there either.

Hahaha, I read this with a British accent and it sounded very pompous and tight arsed. lulz

Most people are only looking for fair market price which this sounds like. Plus I'm lazy.

if someone saves 1k at 5% it's about 14 bucks. it's not like i'd really save the money. I'd spend it at 5 guys or something. not worth the headache imo.

False. Carmax is great if you are looking for a very specific car. I wouldent bother for something as common and pedestrian as a TL, but my car which is relatively rare, it is a great resource.

I'm willing to bet there are far, far fewer manual TL Type S in the world than there are Mazdaspeed 3s. I still managed without getting price gouged at Carmax.

My credit union offered to finance me for $4,000 more than I paid for the car, so I know I got a good deal.

I usually just use the car buying service at the credit union. Tell them what you want and how much you want to pay and tada! Plus it's free.

The only time carmax is even worth a look is for an extremely rare car, because they will ship cars relatively cheap cross-country for you. The problem is, the more rare the car is, the more shipping is. Also, their prices tend to be $1k - $2k above the price you could get from a used car lot.

I did glance at them when I was looking for a car 5 or 6 years ago. The more common cars were available to be shipped for $0 - $250. The STIs and others of similar demand and rarity were about $800. That, and Carmax's prices always approached the prices the dealers were looking for.

I bought a motorcycle instead.

Negotiating and researching is the fun part of buying a car for me. F carmax!

I can't stand haggling and doing research. RV on the other hand could be part Jewish. (sorry for the stereotype) She is tenacious with that sort of thing. I cannot take the stress and would get pizzed off to easy.
