I am still in a weird funk. I almost lost RV on Sunday in a crazy, mind blowing, quick as a flash event. We were boating with friends and returning to dock after a fun day on the sand bar. The boat was going about 40mph when RV stood up for an instant to change seats and the boat tilted a bit from a small wave. I watched in horror as I saw my wife tumble overboard. She was gone in the blink of an eye and I felt my whole life collapse in my chest cavity.
We instantly turned the boat around and she was already 300 yards from us. She waved her arm in the air like I taught her to do when we used to water ski and wipe out so the captain would know you're OK. I snatched her up out of the water in a clinch and a few moments later, to calm the mood, she raised her hand up to show me that she had lost her bikini bottoms in the spill but grabbed them as they came off.
I am still having the image of her feet flipping over the port side flash in my brain, but at least she's alive. She is sore and bruised but is joking about it now. I still don't see the humor yet.

Damn VIF.....just damn. Sometimes you ahve to laugh or joke about it when you don't know what to do.
