If you are a single guy in your early 20s living at home with no gf & you buy a family car there are 2 problems. 1) too much money. Need to move out and pay your own bills. 2) more importantly, embarrassment to your family. They really can't afford to be seen with you.

So yes the iroc t-top would have been a better choice.
