How long do you have to stay on the force until you get decent hours?

I had to wake up a cop who has been on the force since 2008, for my hearing. Poor guy only had 3 hours of sleep.

Decent hours?

We work ten hour shifts and rotate days and evenings every two weeks. Every fourth week we get a 6 day long weekend.

Also just depends on need, the gov conference coming up Ill be working 16s for a few weeks.
