I understand. Nothing wrong with that. Could be that your current company changes their view once you tell them you're about to leave.

Honestly, they'd have to double my salary before I would stay. I'm sick of the culture there and how poorly managed the plant is.

Sounds like it's time to move on then. If it's that bad, a big raise doesn't sound like enough to stay. Money isn't everything. I actually took a huge pay cut when I took this job 5 yrs ago. Haven't regreted it a day yet.
