Tonight, around 5:30. My neighbors daughter (8) was swimming. She got caught up in the "rope" and started screaming and splashing. Behr "noticed" and jumped in and swam to her. She grabbed his collar and he pulled her to the steps. I have 4 witnesses, including the little girl "Tamra".

Thought you would appreciate this.

The little girls father has been by twice this morning, once crying. Behr (the dog) is a hero today. Neighbors that don't like him in the pool have visited us and said he is welcome to swim with their kids anytime.

Anyway, just one of "those" moments in life.

Totally friggin awesome. I wish I could have seen that. RV will cry when I tell her. I think our babies directly reflect our own personalities in a lot of respects. Yes, that was a compliment to you my friend. Very proud moment for the Behr family. Way to go Behr!!!

I caught that story last night, Behr. Pretty heroic, IMO.:good!:

I've celebrated some Christmases in Hawaii. Nothing better than going to the beach on Christmas day, brah. Drink some rum...

So even though where I live now is very far from any beach, I like to drink rum during the holidays and think about it.

Thanks both of you.

It's hard for me not to talk about. Even if it wasn't my dog it was really something to see. I still get chill bumps thinking about it and even tear a little. Thanks VIF for saying it was a compliment to me, but it's really not. It's just his (Goldens) instinct.

Like I said last night, all dogs are good. GOD spelled backwards.

I'll leave it alone now. Thanks for listening. :hi:

That's what good memories are for. Take us back to a good place when it's needed.

The more I hang around my dogs, the more they amaze me. I can have Cooper alone in the hallway while the other two are outside, and offer him a cookie, then without even a sound made, the other two come running inside. I am convinced they communicate on a level we don't understand. Rocki always tries to intervene when Topper or Cooper are being scolded for something. :crazy:
