It's no secret that I like my dog. I was posting on VN when two of the neighbors kids knocked on my door and asked if Behr could come out. I let him go with them while I mixed a drink. As I was walking to the pool, I saw her screaming. Before I could get through the gate, Behr was in the water heading towards her.

There is no God?

Thanks Mike. I really do appreciate that.

I think there are a lot of good dogs and stories about them, but you don't hear them. I'm happy to share one, or two.

I really love Behr, but I know there are many dogs that are just as good as him. I just wish I could hear more about them.

Dogs are Good!

I don't think Arlo would have been able to save the child, but he would have licked it a lot and loved on it after it was rescued by Behr!

I almost hate posting this stuff. It doesn't sound/read true. I wouldn't believe it if I hadn't seen it.

Behr is not trained, but it's his instinct. I am privileged to have witnessed it. My dog or not.

Well, Golden's are extremely good with kids, and they are very bright, so it almost makes sense that they have an instinct to protect children from harm and can sense when they are needed to do just that. Sounds completely logical to me...

Really sounds like it. I'd be tempted to get Arlo some air time on the news if he did that. But, I'm a unrepentant attention whore with narcissistic tendencies. :lolup:
