The first 4 units of blood my pap got he lost. Went from a 8.8 to 8.4. This morning he is at a 10.1 which is an improvement. BP is 100/52.

The catch 22 is that he's been off his heart, bp, Alzheimer's and most importantly blood thinner for 48 hrs. A few years ago, 7 days after taking 36 hrs off blood thinner for a biopsy, he threw the blood clot that caused his ministroke and really started the process we have been going thru, so that is where we are now.

Thanks to all of u all who have been encouraging n so kind.

Sorry kat. Figured he had a stroke, but didn't want to guess or scare you. I have had 3 family members to have them, and it just sucks. Pray for the best and prepare for the worst. That's really all you can do.

Thank u. My dad, cousin and I have absorbed the worst of it do far. For everyone else's interactions he was either really calm or sedated.

Sorry kat. Figured he had a stroke, but didn't want to guess or scare you. I have had 3 family members to have them, and it just sucks. Pray for the best and prepare for the worst. That's really all you can do.

He had a stroke 3 years ago. Our doctors suspect it is a bleeding tumor/colon cancer. With him now retaining blood that speculation could change, but that's What it prolly is
