I actually don't even have a case on my iPhone. Every time I get a new model, I obsess over the best case. Once I buy it, it stays on for MAYBE a month and then it gets tossed. lol Same way with screen protectors.

I would let mine stay naked, but I keep it in my back pocket. Without anything to catch, it would slide out.
