There are about 6 different types of white blood cells. Maybe one specifically concerned them. Does he have a history of STAPH infections?

Earlier this week he was apparently pulling up a nail (a whole other story) and cut his thumb pretty bad. They think that's what the infection is from, staph off the nail.

If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much. They'll likely give him IV Vancomycin for 2 or 3 days. Tell your family not to let him lay in the bed for long periods of time. People his age are prone to getting pneumonia.

He's not a sitter or a layer. He'll nap a little bit, but he likes to get up n about. He's not allowed to get up alone right now cause of bp (98/56).
