That's effin cool. I'm jelli. Most I've won in the casino was 500. Mainly cause I'm a puss and cheap.

I didn't. A friend of mine did when I was living in CT years ago. Back in the '70's. He got $100,000 and the use of a new T Bird for a year. At the end of the year, all he had was the T Bird to turn in.

I've always come out well ahead with the scratch offs. Nothing in the lottery. Played the Lotto twice a week in Texas for 4 years and nothing. Same in Cali.

Imagine he has some really good stories too.

I made good money in Knoxville when they first started the scratch offs. I knew they'd put a lot of winners out to get people hooked. I'd spend about $50 each week and pull in around $250 or so. Went on for about 8 weeks and then dried up. Never played again.

Here's a lucky day in Texas thing. Unbelievable day. Friend of mine came to visit from Knoxville. She wanted to go to the rodeo in Mesquite. So, we drive up early to eat at a restaurant that was recommended by a good friend. Of all things, all she wanted was plain spaghetti and meat balls. After waiting about 30 minutes, the server came to the table with the food and apologized that they had no meatballs. We ate anyway. Mmmmm. Texas rib eye done right. While paying the bill, as always, they asked if everything was alright. My friend is like me and not shy. She told them she was disappointed they couldn't serve what she ordered. Manager came over and long story short, he comped the entire meal including drinks. Next, we get to the rodeo and all the good box seats are sold. So, we do general admission. We get to our seats, which are not very good....but cheap and she strikes up a conversation with a lady passing by. Turns out, the lady is from Tennessee and invites us up to her box seating area. It's the best damn seat in the house. Come to find out, she is loaded, knows all the big wigs in the area and has an interest in the rodeo. Had a fun time watching and talking to her. On the way back to my house, I stop to buy some beer and pick up a scratch off ticket. We get home, drink some beer and enjoy the night. Next day, she finds the scratch off on the kitchen counter and reminds me of it. Yep, scratched it off and it's a $500 winner. Most, by far, I ever got on a single ticket. Incredible chain of events that never happened again.

I just wanna win Powerball one time. Just one time!!! When the jackpot is $300 million, of course.

I'd never want to win again!

That was an Awesome day.

When I won the 500 in Vegas I placed some cursory red and black bets on roulette to get the feel because I had never played. Then on the 4th spin I bet 20 black. My son's birthday is 4/20 and I hit. craziest think watching that ball smack into that slot. Not nearly as eventful as your day though.

Roulette is a good game for non-gamblers if you want to have fun and not spend much money. If you know what you're doing, you can play all day on $50. When I lived in SoCal, we'd drive up every few months to have fun. I'm not a gambler at all. But, it's fun dropping coins and such. I'd leave the house with $100. We'd spend the first evening and night in Stateline at Whiskey Petes. Nice rooms for $30 a night during the week. Gamble some, eat and drive to Vegas the next morning. I'd play slots and Roulette all day and evening and return home with about $100. Nice expense free couple of days. People chasing the money were the ones that would get into trouble.
