The evolution of a thing is impossible to dictate and almost impossible to predict. You can rage against it, but you probably won't change it. Most of the last batch of changeists no longer walk these halls.

I suggest stepping away for a minute and seeing how much you miss it. If you miss it a great deal, you'll be able to come back and accept the changes, while creating and seeking out the things that make you happy here.
