He's lucky he had the 14 rather than the 16. He must have been there around 69 or before.

He went to Witchita State for 3 years, I think it was around 68 or 69

Yeah, seems like the 16's were late 60's. First issue was crap. Jams. All that was needed in a wet jungle to get killed with.
