Thera flu is awesome for a non alcoholic cold medicine (for me anyways). Yeah, hes having a little dinner tomorrow, then a shindig saturday afternoon. I cant believe hes one. It doesnt seem like he has been here that long. Time has flown :)

I've never tried Thera flu. May have to check that out. I'm using a humidifier and nose spray. And tons of Sudafed.

That sounds like a fun filled week/weekend! How did he do opening Christmas gifts? Did he tear into them?

Depends who you ask..

Love the new avy. How's life in Covington?

The football forum is impossible.

Nice and calm at the moment. Sitting here by myself waiting while tires are being put on my wifes car. How about up your way?

So what got you interested in American sports, and what caused you to pick your teams?

Well, I decided that I didn't like Football, Rugby, Cricket and all the rubbish we Brits fight over. They all suck. So I decided to search around for a sport i liked, it so happend it was the NHL which I took to. I was 10 at the time and I decided to support the Hurricanes because I liked their uni's (I was 10, give me a break).

Then I saw NFL and NBA advertised during games so i decided to give them a try... I watched the Seahawks Steelers superbowl and decided I liked NFL even though I had no idea what was going on. (I was 11, give me a break).

I decided to support the Packers because I saw Favre play a really good game against the Bears the next season and I Took to him...

After that I discovered NBA in 2007, the only player I knew other than Jordan was Shaq so I supported the Heat.... I was able to see them play in 2008 when they played a pre season game over here... One of the best nights of my life, the only one of my teams I have seen play...

Then later that year I watched my first MLB game which was the cardinals vs the Rockies and I enjoyed it but didn't take to the teams, so I supported the Dodgers because I really liked watching Nomar Garciapara play...

Lastly, I wanted to properly get into College sports because I watched a couple of games last year and liked the atmosphere of the games and the high scoring nature. I met a guy who went to UT at a wedding in July and he kind of convinced me to give the Vols a try, and I never looked back.. I now watch them in Basketball too...

Sorry, it's a long tale, you did ask though...

I read way too much in the football forum yesterday and pretty much NONE of what everyone said was going to happen has happened. Even the people who promised they had the inside scoop. It's full meltdown mode. I can't take it.

Sounds good. I'm at work, first day back since break. Time is passing really slowly tho...

nerd is my #2 poster on here.

I.. am.. number one - no matter if you like it
Here take it sit down and write it

Hey hey hey hey hey hey - now let me ask you
Do you like it when I shake it for ya, daddy? move it all around?
Let you get a peep before it touches the ground?

Nice to meet you Stephen! Sounds like very legitimate reasons to me. Being a Vol fan is the best, even if we've been on a rollercoaster for the last few years.

I love football foremost and also love hockey. NBA does nothing for me.

Yeah, I tried to keep up last night and a little today but just threw my hands up.

I wanted to make some chili tonight. Guess it will have to wait till tomorrow.

Interesting stuff. Thanks for posting and make yourself at home on VN.

I apologize for the state of the Motorsports forum. I tried to breath some life into it with mediocre results.

I'm not sure what I feel after reading this.

Thanks, nice to meet you too.... Just wished I lived closer to you guys, I have nobody to socialise about US sports with outside of this and the NFLUK forums...

Doing good. She got a nice sleeve of tennis balls and some heartworm pills.

How was your Christmas?

Practical. I like it.

My babies each got a new toy - a stuffed reindeer for one and a ball for the other. They are both fighting over the reindeer.

It was great, can't complain. Great family time and some good, homecooked food. I'll take it every time.

The little turkey wouldn't tear anything but the bows off lol

I really want to live in the states, its a dream of mine, I just don't fit in over here....

I am going to come over to the states this year to see a Raiders game in LA...... My first experience of the states, I can't wait!
