I've only read 1 James Patterson book. Although I liked the story, I hate, hate, HATE how each chapter is so extremely short! Two pages to a chapter, 3 pages to a chapter. All that white space breaks up my enjoyment and engagement in the story.

I've never read Koontz but would like to try it. I like Grisham. That cracks me up that you've read Michaels and some of the other female writers.

I would suggest not reading this before bed.

incredibly long but I always find characters I care about and I have trouble putting the book down. I was mortified when I found put marco ramius was short and pot belloed and not sean connery

Don't do much reading anymore, but I used to read a lot of Grisham, Koontz. I also read the entire Left Behind series. Read a lot of medical books in radiology school.
