Not that you will care, but the actual cost of ownership for a Mac is lower than that of a standard PC. I switched 6 years ago and I'll never go back.

I have to work with both PC's and Macs at my job and I hate, HATE having to deal with all the popups on a PC. It's true what they say...Macs "just work".

I know many people who are PC diehards and I think it's unfair they don't get made fun of for being so devoted like Mac users do.

I never get pop ups but they used to be a problem.
I can understand that. It's a bad rep.

I'll never buy another PC. I'm converting everything in my house to Mac, I might even go for AppleTV.

Love my AppleTV and think iTunes Match will make it even better. Only drawback is 720p resolution.

Is the actual cost of ownership lower if the Mac fails after 5 years and they will do nothing about it? I understand your point regarding cash out to time used. But, the above happened to a friend of mine just as I was finally about to purchase one.

Mac's do what they're supposed to do and that is a huge plus.

Does any computer company do something for you if the product fails after 5 years? Consumer Reports rates AppleCare as the only extended warranty they endorse. I have a MacBook Pro that is 6 years old. My HD died right before the 3 years was up so AppleCare covered that.

To be fair, I must concede that I was once a manager with Apple so I'm a LITTLE bit biased. :)

I was a PC person before, but I'm a total Mac fanatic now. The company does really care about making people's lives better through technology.

I'm in Lubbock. I was born in Dallas. Great place. I'm a huge Cowboy fan. They suck right now though!

It's definitely not their best year. But no one who should be great this year is, except for the Packers of course.

Poor Indy without Peyton...

Oh, if I had to chose one company over the other based on the quality of the company and their vision, it would be Apple all day. Are you in Knoxville?
