Nerd is definitely more renaissance man than I. Did you know I can't even eat seafood because I can't stand the taste? Got to the point where I could eat lemon trout but one time I ordered it and thought it was odd I'd order a whole dish devoted to my love of lemons when I could just get a lemon and also a filet mignon with mashed potatoes and green beans. But, I do love Indian food, as long as it's bathed in curry and peppers.

Indian food is something many don't appreciate. Vietnamese food, too. I have yet to meet a food I didn't like. But I might be wired in a weird way. A bit of lemon or lime enhances the taste of many things. Sounds weird maybe, but I love rib eye steak from the grill only. I put a small pat of butter on it just before taking it off the grill and a quick squeeze of lime on top. Spread it with a knife and chow down.

What's the back story here?

I think it was every day we hung out for a month, we ate Chinese. That was just one month of the torrid 8 month ordeal. There were many other trips all over East Tennessee just to eat Chinese food. I did it because I was young and smitten. She was one of the hottest, but also the craziest in a string of crazies dating back to my 20th birthday. Since then, there are no amount of egg rolls, wonton soups, and szechuan chickens that will make me eat Chinese. Reminds me of her as soon as the MSG invades my body.... :)

Great. Now I really want a steak....
 
Steak off the grill is what you need. I like them grilled better than anything as long as I'm grilling. Baked potato from the grill. Sheet of aluminum foil, 4 pats of butter, sprinkle with salt...wet potato and roll in salt, wrap in foil and bake on the grill. One ear of corn. Spiral wrap bacon from one end to the other. Hold in place with toothpicks. Place on grill until done.
