i didn't watch or hear this explanation, but here was a reaction that popped up on twitter.

"Those were the most bizarre explanations by Tony La Russa I've ever heard. He wanted Motte. Bullpen heard "Rzepczinski." Like, really?"

apparently, i wasn't the only one, and apparently, the "reasons" weren't all that great.

Thought everyone liked it. It's probably some of the best I've ever had. The owners are great people, too. Ming Wa taught me how to cook a few things and I was just thinking about some other dishes I wish I had asked her about. False alarm, sorry.
