Rot=#9 on the smartest list. Bet your mom still thought you were great even though you weren't the sharpest knife in the drawer. You have never been exposed to the training of a hunting dog have you? Because if you had, you would never go by a list as to how smart your dog is or isn't. Just sayin'. I've owned a Sheltie which is higher on the list than a Rot and my Blue tick's are much smarter than my Sheltie was.:whistling:

I'm a black lab fan. Prefer the females to the males too. They're not as energetic. I'm pretty sure they're in the top 5 smartest.
