I thought they are doing over the air updates? I've never plugged my phone into itunes

over the air updates are for new iphone4 running ios5 and iphone4s. over the air updating is only on ios5. once you update you'll get it. what iphone do you have? anything 3gs and up is good to go i believe

icloud is awesome. totally worth it. over the air syncing is great for my ipad. i did lose my apps, music, and movies on my ipad, but it was a simple upload to get everything back. only problem is that movies can't be synced over the air. imessage is great if you have a lot of friends with istuff.... think steve jobs' take on AIM. just be sure to back up everything before you update. just in case

Do u sync it regularly? The only time I've had an issue is my first phone never got synced and i lost everything I had. Since then no issue

Not as often as I should.. I haven't updated or synced in several months. I plan on doing it this weekend. After hearing a couple of horror stories I have been hesitate.
